City of Brampton hiring for spring and summer parks and recreation jobs, volunteer roles

BRAMPTON, ON :The City of Brampton has a range of exciting opportunities available for those seeking part-time employment in parks and recreation, and volunteer roles throughout the City.

Brampton Recreation

Brampton Recreation has a variety of positions available this spring and summer in aquatics, camps, customer service, facility operations, and more. Enjoy working for a supportive team in a community-oriented environment, and benefits such as flexible schedules, paid training, skill development and opportunities to progress, access to discounted memberships and experience that looks great on a resume.

Brampton Parks Maintenance and Forestry

Brampton Parks Maintenance and Forestry has a range of part-time and temporary positions available in forestry, horticulture, cemetery, construction and district maintenance this spring, summer and into the fall.

Work with a supportive team, enjoy the outdoors and bring your skills to the City through a position as a Seasonal Labourer, Parks Keeper, Gardener, Arborist and more. Visit www.brampton.ca/employment for details and to apply.

Volunteer Opportunities

The City of Brampton is seeking volunteers for a range of departments, including Brampton Animal Services, the Brampton Emergency Management Office, Brampton Recreation, and Performing Arts. Those aged 14 and older can learn more and apply at www.brampton.ca/volunteers.

While Patrick Brown, Mayor, City of Brampton said, “Brampton is a City of Opportunities, and we are committed to creating jobs in our community. We have launched our 2022 spring and summer hiring campaign for parks and recreation and if you are looking for work or volunteering, I encourage you to browse our current openings.” And Rowena Santos, Regional Councillor, Wards 1 & 5; Chair, Community Services, City of Brampton said, “Brampton is a great place to live, work and play. Be part of a supportive team in our Parks or Recreation departments, gain valuable skills and experience and have a rewarding role with the City through our 2022 opportunities.”

Also,  Charmaine Williams, City Councillor, Wards 7 & 8; Vice-Chair, Community Services, City of Brampton said, “We have a range of positions available with Brampton Parks and Recreation for the spring and summer. We also have opportunities for volunteers. Apply for a role with the City to help keep our city healthy, active and safe.”

While Paul Morrison, Interim CAO, City of Brampton added that “The City of Brampton is an excellent team to be a part of that serves a diverse and fast-growing community. We look forward to welcoming successful applicants to their roles this spring and summer, and year-round.”
