Several Apple Stores throughout the country will reopen today, Apple Corp. announced earlier this week.
The tech giant announced that it will open 25 stores in the United States and 12 stores in Canada this week, after weeks of closures to its store network during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Some stores will only offer curbside or storefront services. This information was given by the company in its email statement.
In a letter to customers, Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president for retail and people, said the company was “focusing on limiting occupancy and giving everyone extra room.
This time, the emphasis will be on providing one-to-one services through each store, said O’Brien, noting that all stores would have a temperature check at the door, and all employees and customers will be required to cover their faces.
O’Brien wrote that it is not uncommon for these stores to be reopened once they are needed due to local conditions.
The U.S. stores that are being prepared to open include Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Oklahoma and Washington State, while standalone locations in British Columbia and Nova Scotia will also reopen.
An Apple Store operates within Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, and remains closed until further notice.
