BRAMPTON, ON – On July 8, 2026, the City of Brampton officially celebrated the opening of lululemon’s new one-million-square-foot distribution centre. The state-of-the-art facility marks a major milestone in the athletic apparel brand’s global fulfillment strategy and cements Brampton’s growing reputation as a premier North American hub for logistics and advanced manufacturing.
Located in northeast Brampton, the expansive campus is now one of the largest distribution facilities on the continent. A key highlight of the site is its integration of AutoStore – the largest installation of its kind in Canada. By deploying this advanced robotics and automation technology, lululemon aims to significantly improve its fulfillment speed, capacity, and overall supply chain resilience.
Local and federal officials, including Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown and Minister of International Trade Maninder Sidhu, joined lululemon executives for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“lululemon’s continued investment in Brampton is a strong endorsement of our city’s economic strength, skilled workforce and ability to support major global operations,” said Mayor Brown. “This transformed facility supports the current workforce, drives innovation and reinforces Brampton’s position as a leader in logistics.”
The development was heavily supported by Brampton’s Economic Development Office, which assisted lululemon through site planning and community integration. Ted Dagnese, Chief Supply Chain Officer at lululemon, praised the municipal partnership, noting that with this new facility, the company’s “capabilities are reaching new heights and further enhancing our distribution network in Canada and the U.S.”
Ultimately, the successful launch of the distribution centre highlights the mutual benefits of industry and government collaboration. As lululemon fortifies its North American supply chain, the massive investment promises to generate meaningful local employment and stimulate continued economic growth within Brampton’s thriving industrial sector.
