Brampton, ON – September 20, 2023 – The Canada Truck Operators Association (CTOA) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 18, 2024, at the picturesque Lionhead Golf Course in Brampton. This year’s event brought together industry leaders, members, and stakeholders and to discuss key issues, achievements, and the future of the trucking sector in Canada.

“This AGM not only allowed us to elect our new board but also provided an invaluable opportunity for members to voice their concerns and priorities. Together, we are paving the way for a more resilient and innovative trucking industry,”  said Paul Nijjar, Member of the Board of Directors, CTOA.

The AGM began with a series of informative presentations highlighting recent developments and association updates. Following presentations, members participated in the election of the Board, reinforcing the association’s commitment to strong leadership and representation. The afternoon workshop session allowed for discussion about ideas, issues and priorities going forward. The day ended with a special meeting with the Deputy Mayor of Brampton Harkirat Singh and a cocktail reception.

“CTOA remains committed to supporting our members and advocating for the trucking industry as a whole,” said Kamal Dhaliwal, Member of the Board of Directors, CTOA. “Together, we will continue to lead the way in making our industry safer, more efficient, and more sustainable.”

The Canada Truck Operators Association (CTOA) is the newest and fastest-growing trucking association in Canada, with members from across the country. The trucking industry has grown immensely over the years, with many new drivers, carriers, and suppliers bringing incredible diversity to a critical part of Canada’s economy.  The CTOA’s mission is to ensure all voices are heard in the trucking industry and ensuring those speaking for the industry understand and reflect its new diverse makeup.
