Investigators Seeking Public’s Help In Identifying Theft Suspects

Brampton – Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects in a theft investigation.

On Friday, September 16, 2016 at approximately 1:00 p.m. the victim was working at a residence in the area of Cairnmore Court and Carnforth Drive in the city of Brampton. While onsite, the victim placed his utility saw on the front lawn and walked to the rear of the residence. A short time later, the victim returned to the front and his utility saw had been stolen.

Video surveillance footage obtained from the victim’s truck revealed that a silver 4 door BMW attended the residence and a female suspect exited the car and grabbed the saw. The suspect placed it in the car and the BMW fled the scene.  The value of the saw is approximately $1700.00.

The video footage also reveals that earlier in the day, while the victim was at a plaza in Orangeville, the same silver BMW entered the lot and the two suspects were seen looking into the bed of the victim’s truck.  Video also shows the same BMW following the victim from Orangeville to Brampton clearly tracking the victim’s movements.

Suspect #1 is described as male, south Asian, early 50’s, approximately 5’8”, thin build, short dark hair above the ears, wearing black pants, black shoes, white shirt, white jacket and sunglasses.

Suspect #2 is described as female, south Asian, early 50’s, approximately 5’2” medium build with dark long hair wearing a purple shirt and long black skirt.

Police are reminding the public to report any suspicious activity. If these suspects are seen, please do not approach, call police immediately.
