Kidnapping victim found safe, as search begins for suspect

Police are on the lookout for a dangerous offender as the victim of a kidnapping was found safe and sound this past weekend. Police say a warrant has been issued for 21 year-old Kwami Garwood in connection with multiple offences, including kidnapping and aggravated assault. 22 Division’s Criminal Investigation Bureau stated this past weekend that officers attended a property on Adventure Drive in Brampton early Sunday morning (Mar. 28) around 3 a.m., after banca. When they arrived, a conversation ensued between Garwood and officers. Soon afterwards, Garwood fled the scene in a vehicle with a female victim, 23 year-old Salina Ouk, inside. Officers located the vehicle, left abandoned a short time later.
