
BRAMPTON, July 12: Starting September 1, 2023, AG drivers who have an air brake endorsement will now be able to renew their licenses through a new online learning module brought out by the Ministry of Transport.
Current policies require drivers to obtain a G endorsement on their Ontario driver’s license to operate a vehicle with an air brake or air over hydraulic brake system. This can be achieved after passing a knowledge and practical test at any driver test center. can be achieved. Additionally, an air brake endorsement can be obtained by completing an air brake endorsement course through a driver community college, safety organization or vehicle fleet owner. To renew this system, drivers must take a test in person through a drive test center or driver certification program organization.
With the launch of the new online program, drivers will no longer have to complete a knowledge test in person, but complete online learning modules to earn a Certificate of Completion. They will be able to complete the renewal process by presenting it at any drive test center.
